Arsenal eyeing deal for extremely pacy £39m rated striker who’s better than Erling Haaland

Arsenal is once again making headlines in the transfer market as they are reportedly eyeing RB Leipzig’s young sensation, Benjamin Sesko. Sesko, a 20-year-old striker, has been making waves in the football world, and his performances have garnered attention from various top clubs, including the Gunners.

According to reports from Calciomercato, AC Milan is also keenly interested in Sesko. Still, they face fierce competition from several other clubs, with Arsenal being among the frontrunners.

What makes this pursuit even more intriguing is that the Gunners have established a direct relationship with Sesko’s camp and have been monitoring his progress for some time. This connection could potentially give them an edge in the race to sign the talented young striker.

However, acquiring Sesko’s services won’t come cheap for Arsenal or any other potential suitors. The Slovenia international’s valuation has more than doubled, now ranging from €45-50 million (£39-44 million) compared to his reported €24 million (£21 million) transfer from Red Bull Salzburg to RB Leipzig just last summer.

Benjamin Sesko has been in fantastic form since joining Leipzig, already registering six goals in 12 competitive appearances across various competitions. His performances have not gone unnoticed, and many have compared him to the likes of Erling Braut Haaland, a high praise that Sesko has taken in stride.

“Such comparisons motivate me and give me energy,” Sesko said regarding the Haaland comparisons. “They do not represent pressure. I will listen and learn so I can be even better than he is. My teammates at the club tell me that Haaland and I are very similar, especially in terms of speed. Most of them even tell me that I’m better than him!”

In addition to his peers’ praise, Leipzig’s technical director, Christopher Vivell, also spoke highly of Sesko. He described Sesko as “among the game’s top young talents” with the potential to become a top player. Vivell praised Sesko’s speed, jumping ability, and strength in the air. Standing at 1.95 meters (6 feet 4 inches), Sesko is both mobile and technically skilled. According to Vivell, these qualities make him a “special player with a special profile.”

For Arsenal, adding a talent like Benjamin Sesko to their squad could be a game-changer. The young striker has the potential to become a prolific goalscorer and a force to be reckoned with in the world of football. While the competition for his signature will be fierce, the Gunners’ long-standing interest and direct ties to the player’s camp may give them the advantage they need to secure this exciting talent for their club.
