3 prominent Celtic players lined up for pre-match evaluation as Brendan Rodgers considers crucial decisions for the starting lineup

Celtic is set to evaluate some of their key players, including Luis Palma and Alistair Johnston, following their late return from international duty, with Kyogo potentially in line to start following his concerning collision with Slobodan Rubezic.

However, Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, and Liel Abada remain sidelined due to injuries. Additionally, several Motherwell players returned to training on Thursday after recovering from minor knocks, but Paul McGinn, Pape Souare, and Lennon Miller continue to be sidelined. The champions are faced with a decision regarding star player Palma and current right-back Alistair Johnston, who played crucial roles for Honduras and Canada, respectively. Nevertheless, Palma missed the second leg against Mexico in the Nations League due to a shoulder injury.

David Turnbull is eager for a start, setting up a battle between himself, Odin Holm, and Paulo Bernardo to join Matt O’Riley and Callum McGregor in the midfield. If Palma is available, it seems likely that he and Yang will take up the wing positions, with Rodgers considering whether Kyogo is fit to play after the collision with the Dons defender, which caused significant concern as the Japanese star lay motionless on the field.
