“RB Leipzig Striker Hesitant on West Ham Move Amid Manchester United Interest”

Reports suggest Timo Werner might hesitate to join West Ham United due to his Chelsea experience, casting doubts on a potential return to London.

TEAMtalk’s report indicates Werner’s ‘apprehension’ regarding a Premier League comeback, raising questions about West Ham’s pursuit for a striker in the January transfer window.

Despite Divin Mubama’s potential, experienced forwards Michail Antonio and Danny Ings haven’t made the desired impact for West Ham.

Earlier this month, 90Min linked RB Leipzig’s Werner with a potential move to West Ham, while Crystal Palace and Fulham were also mentioned for potential January loan moves.

Having started just two Bundesliga games this season, Werner seeks regular first-team action and might need to depart RB Leipzig.

However, Werner appears reluctant toward a Premier League return, possibly due to his past struggles during his time at Chelsea, where he managed only 10 goals in 56 games before returning to RB Leipzig.

While Werner seemingly leans towards staying in Germany, an unexpected twist emerged with Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg suggesting Manchester United’s interest in Werner.

Plettenberg claims that United have ‘already enquired’ about a deal for Werner ahead of the January window, aligning with their search for another striker fitting Erik ten Hag’s transition-heavy style.

Described as ‘rapid’ by former RB Leipzig teammate Tyler Adams, Werner’s speed has troubled defenders, sparking Manchester United’s interest in the striker.

For West Ham, securing Werner’s signature amidst Manchester United’s pursuit might require a convincing offer of guaranteed first-team opportunities at the London Stadium.
