December 19, 2023

It’s been reported that Tottenham has approached Chelsea regarding a potential transfer deal involving Blues defender Trevoh Chalobah this January.

Chalobah has struggled to secure significant playing time at Stamford Bridge for quite some time, fueling speculation that he may be on the verge of a departure, with strong interest likely to emerge.

According to Team Talk, Spurs have emerged as the latest club expressing interest in the 24-year-old, with manager Ange Postecoglou reportedly eyeing Chalobah as part of the solution to bolster his team’s defensive options.

Team Talk asserts that Tottenham has initiated contact with Chelsea, making this a situation worth monitoring closely in the coming days and weeks.

Conversely, a report from Italian outlet Il Romanista, as cited and translated by Sport Witness, suggested that Roma had also nearly finalized an agreement to sign Chalobah following discussions in London.

While Chelsea would prefer to offload Chalobah to an overseas club if possible, it remains uncertain whether the player holds a specific preference that could influence the direction of any potential transfer.
