Report : Tottenham set for epic battle with Ligue 1 club for 26-year-old sensation

A recent report from 90 min suggests that Tottenham and Monaco are poised to reignite their pursuit of Tosin Adarabioyo after failing to secure the Fulham center-back’s signature last summer.

Numerous outlets have indicated in recent weeks that Adarabioyo remains a priority target for Tottenham as they prepare for the January transfer window (The Athletic). However, The Sun’s Tom Barclay asserted a few days ago that the 26-year-old has made a decision to depart Fulham on a free transfer once his contract expires next summer.

The latest report from 90 min indicates that despite Adarabioyo’s intention to leave at the end of the season, there exists a possibility of Fulham opting to sell him in January.

The outlet elaborates that while Fulham is endeavoring to convince the defender to commit to a new contract, the player seems no closer to reaching an agreement, potentially leading the West London club to consider placing him on the transfer market.

The report further highlights that both Spurs and Monaco engaged in discussions with Fulham last summer regarding Adarabioyo and could do so again in the upcoming weeks.

Nevertheless, the publication also notes that if the center-back opts to leave next summer, the advantage would tilt in favor of the Ligue 1 club, given that the player can enter into a pre-contract agreement with non-English clubs from next month.

Lastly, 90 min specifies that in addition to Tottenham and Monaco, other clubs such as West Ham United, Atalanta, Lyon, and Roma are also expressing interest in acquiring Adarabioyo.
