Walker-Peters, 26, has excelled for Southampton in the Premier League, even during challenging periods. Tottenham reportedly holds a £30m buy-back option, a figure that might be negotiable. Although this price may seem steep, a potential reduction in the fee could make Walker-Peters a shrewd addition for Postecoglou in January.
The versatile defender is adept at playing on both flanks, capable of deputizing for and competing with Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro. Additionally, as an England international, Walker-Peters has potential and is familiar with playing in an inverted role.
From a home-grown perspective, signing Walker-Peters makes considerable sense, given his roots in the Spurs academy. This move would afford greater flexibility in the transfer market.
