Allegedly, West Ham United is seriously considering offloading a particular player during the January transfer window, making it a pivotal period for the club’s transfer dealings.

The upcoming transfer window holds significant importance for West Ham, with the urgent need to secure at least one high-caliber signing. However, adhering to Financial Fair Play regulations, Hammers’ manager David Moyes must also trim the squad.

Speculations have swirled around exits for players such as Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals, and Danny Ings from the London Stadium. But today, a new name has surfaced in the exit discussions.

Brazilian reporter Andre Hernan suggests that three Brazilian clubs have shown interest in securing a move for 21-year-old West Ham center-back Luizao this month.

Another Brazilian journalist, Gabriel Sa, contends that West Ham prefers a direct sale rather than a loan, with Botafogo reportedly making initial contact regarding his acquisition.

Luizao arrived at the London Stadium last year with considerable promise as a highly skilled young defender from Brazil. However, his time at the club has been devoid of any notable impact.

Despite his potential, Luizao is yet to make an appearance for the senior squad, accumulating 28 appearances for the under-21s instead, as per Transfermarkt.

While glimpses of training with the first team were spotted in October, he remains far from being considered for the senior squad.

The absence of any opportunity for Luizao to showcase his abilities, even in cup games or European fixtures, prompts questions about Moyes’ evaluation of the player’s readiness for top-flight action.

If Moyes perceives Luizao as lacking the required standard based on training performances, West Ham may need to offload him in January rather than retaining an inadequate fit within the squad.
