Wolverhampton Wanderers’ has unexpectedly captured the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, as per a surprising report from Brazil.

The midfielder, who joined Molineux from Flamengo a year ago, has become a notable presence at Wolves, amassing 31 appearances, with 20 coming in the current season.

According to Fla Web, João Gomes’ standout performances at Wolves have prompted Tottenham, under Ange Postecoglou’s management, to indicate that they are on the verge of “making an investment very soon” to secure the 22-year-old’s signature.

Despite Gomes’ contract with Wolves running until 2028, with an option for an additional year, the report suggests that Tottenham views him as a crucial figure under Gary O’Neil. However, Spurs are reportedly prepared to facilitate his transfer if certain conditions are met.
