Leicester City appears to be encountering obstacles in their pursuit of Inter Milan midfielder Stefano Sensi.

According to FcInterNews, there seems to be a “total standby” between the clubs, potentially due to the transfer fee negotiation. Inter Milan is reportedly seeking a transfer fee in the range of €2 million to €3 million, and they have been unwavering in this demand, while Leicester City has yet to formalize their bid.

Sensi is reportedly eager about the prospect of moving to English football and is now waiting for the clubs to resolve their divergences. The report indicates a palpable interest from Leicester City in signing Sensi, with Enzo Maresca purportedly being his primary advocate. However, the Foxes are required to offload players before making new acquisitions.

Furthermore, there is uncertainty surrounding whether to pay the fee to guarantee his transfer now or wait until the summer to acquire him as a free agent, given that his contract with Inter Milan expires at the end of the season.

Despite these challenges, there is still confidence that the deal will materialize. However, it is anticipated that the negotiations will only progress after the Super Cup, which is scheduled to take place on Friday.
