Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has personally approved the signing of a 22-year-old player known for his elegance and hard work, as the team continues to make significant moves in the January transfer window.

The North London club has been actively strengthening its squad, having recently secured the services of Timo Werner on a six-month loan from RB Leipzig and completed a £25 million deal for Radu Dragusin from Genoa, addressing both attacking and defensive needs within the span of a week.

Dragusin’s arrival, in particular, is considered a major positive for the team, as Tottenham had been facing a shortage of options at the center-back position due to various circumstances. The signing is seen as crucial in providing depth and cover in case of injuries to key players.

Speaking about the signing of Dragusin, Postecoglou stated, “From that onwards, Radu was always on the radar as one of the players we thought would be a good option for us. Then it was about getting as much information on him as a player and a person. In my mind once we got down to the real detail, I thought he was the best option for us.”

With the acquisition of Dragusin and the addition of Timo Werner as a versatile attacking option, it is speculated that Tottenham might not be done yet in the transfer market. The club is reportedly interested in Real Sociedad forward Ander Barrenetxea, and Postecoglou is said to be a strong admirer of the player, having given his approval for a potential move.

Barrenetxea, known for his ability to operate effectively on both flanks as a wide forward, is seen as a valuable target for Tottenham as they look to reinforce their attacking options, especially in light of recent injury setbacks.

With the ongoing transfer activity, Tottenham’s ambition to further strengthen their squad and enhance their competitiveness in the Premier League is clearly evident.
