Earlier today, it was reported that West Ham United is among the clubs considering the potential signing of Boulaye Dia from Salernitana this month.
The requirement for a new striker seems to have resurfaced for the Hammers, and the Senegalese international, who was previously prevented from making a move to the Premier League late in the summer, is now a target.
According to a report from Calcio Salernitana today, the encouraging news is that Dia appears to favor a move to West Ham. The Serie A side is currently holding out for a fee of ‘no less than €15m’ for the forward, as he ‘dreams’ of a Premier League move in the near future. Despite being away in the Ivory Coast for the Africa Cup of Nations, there is a possibility of a remote meeting between Walter Sabatini and the player’s representatives to expedite a potential transfer.
Dia himself is hopeful of West Ham’s involvement in the pursuit, and it is indicated that the club is seriously considering making a move, as suggested by today’s report.
