‘Big Deal Confirmed for Next Season’ as Insider Drops Thrilling Tottenham Transfer Update

January 26, 2024

Tottenham Hotspur has recently stepped up its efforts to secure the services of the Club Brugge prodigy Antonio Nusa as the January transfer window nears its end.

As per the latest information from TeamTalk, talks are advancing positively, with the club aiming to wrap up all the details by the close of the day.

The proposed deal is valued at approximately £26 million, and the young Norwegian talent is said to have verbally agreed to personal terms with Tottenham.

Transfer expert João Miguel has now given an updated report, asserting that the agreement is ‘confirmed’ for the summer, with Spurs locking in Nusa on a five-year contract, including an option for an additional year.

The player will have the chance to complete the current campaign with the Belgian club before making the move to Tottenham.

Despite interest from other prominent clubs, Spurs have acted swiftly to secure the talented youngster’s commitment.

In 15 appearances in the Belgian Pro League, Nusa has contributed three goals and two assists in six starts.

Consistently proving to be a threat to opponents, he ranks at the top for goal-creating actions and third for shot-creating actions per 90 minutes in Belgium’s top flight. [Fbref]

It’s noteworthy that Tottenham had an opportunity to sign Antonio Nusa for just €3 million in 2021 when he played for Stabaek in Norway, but that chance was missed.

The club appears determined not to repeat that error, although the current deal comes at a higher cost than the missed opportunity in 2021.
