Leicester City and Stoke experience setback in chase for Portsmouth loan player.

January 27, 2024

Portsmouth’s loanee Abu Kamara is staying put at Fratton Park despite interest from Leicester City and Stoke City, as reported by The News.

Kamara was signed on loan from Norwich City for the season and has drawn interest due to his impressive performance, with seven goals and four assists. However, Norwich City has missed the deadline to recall the 20-year-old, ensuring he will remain with Portsmouth in League One until the end of the season.

While this may be disappointing for Leicester City and Stoke City, it is a significant win for Portsmouth. Kamara has been a key player for them this season and keeping him will undoubtedly improve their chances of promotion. Although the other teams may have missed out for now, they could revisit their interest in the summer when Kamara returns to Norwich City.
