January 28, 2024

Enzo Maresca declined to comment on Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s future at Leicester City, stating that it was a matter for the club’s leadership.

He did confirm that Dewsbury-Hall was rested during the FA Cup fourth-round tie in preparation for the upcoming Championship game against Swansea.

News of Brighton’s interest in the midfielder broke on Friday, with the Seagulls reportedly far from City’s valuation of £30m. When asked about Dewsbury-Hall’s future, Maresca remained vague, stating that it was a question for the club.

He also mentioned the need for balance and potential new signings in the midfield, with Wilfred Ndidi and Cesare Casadei both unavailable.

Despite the uncertainty, Maresca expressed satisfaction with the current squad and pointed out that midfielders Yunus Akgun and Dennis Praet scored in the recent game against Birmingham.
