‘I can verify that’: 28-year-old reveals Tottenham transfer choice ahead of the deadline

Tottenham Hotspur’s midfielder, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, has officially announced his commitment to remain at the club beyond the transfer deadline. While Tottenham is expected to have a quiet transfer deadline day, potential departures, especially among youngsters for loan opportunities, are not entirely ruled out.

Hojbjerg, whose future at North London has been a subject of speculation, was reportedly open to leaving this month, with interest from Atletico Madrid, Napoli, and Juventus. However, Tottenham insisted on a permanent element in any deal, making a loan move contingent on an obligation to buy.

In a recent 3-2 win over Brentford, Hojbjerg, coming off the bench, addressed his situation, confirming his decision to stay at Tottenham. His lawyer, Lars Halgreen, had previously hinted at this decision, with Hojbjerg joking that he had to listen when his lawyer made decisions about his future.

Expressing confidence in contributing to Tottenham’s season, Hojbjerg stated, “I definitely feel I can help the team,” emphasizing his motivation to fight for something meaningful. While his reduced role this term sparks speculation about a potential move at the end of the season, Hojbjerg remains committed to Tottenham for now, hoping to prove his long-term value to the club.
