Frank McAvennie has expressed his opinion that Said Benrahma’s approach to leaving West Ham was not handled correctly, suggesting that supporters will likely not miss his presence.
West Ham officially announced on 2 February the exit of Benrahma, the Algerian international, who made a move to the French side in Ligue 1 on a loan deal after a notable delay on transfer deadline day at the London Stadium.
Lyon openly criticized West Ham for what they described as “incomprehensible behavior” and a “lack of respect” when the deal nearly fell through at the last minute.
