Yang, who mainly plays on the right wing, has scored once and provided an assist in his tenure with Celtic. Despite these modest numbers, Rodgers believes Yang has a promising future at the club, particularly noting his potential on the left wing after observing his performance in training sessions.
Rodgers shared with Celtic TV his enthusiasm for Yang’s development: “He’s a player I believe can excel here. Initially, he was seen as a right winger, but training has revealed he might be more effective on the left, allowing him to capitalize on his running power.”
Rodgers acknowledges Yang’s need for improvement in passing and crossing timing but is confident these skills will enhance with further training and development. He particularly admires Yang’s work ethic and energy.
