Now 24, Kitching has made his mark at Coventry City in the Championship, leaving Leeds fans to ponder what might have been had he stayed. His journey from Leeds to Coventry involved a significant stint at Forest Green Rovers in League Two, where he made 53 appearances, followed by a move to Barnsley. Despite Barnsley’s relegation to League One, Kitching’s performance there, including a notable 55% duel success rate and involvement in 16 clean sheets, highlighted his potential.
Coventry City recognized this potential and secured Kitching’s services for a fee reported to be over £4m, after an initial £3m offer was rejected by Barnsley. Kitching has since established himself as a key player for Coventry, demonstrating his worth with a 59% duel success rate in the Championship.
