Leeds United’s defensive stalwart, Pascal Struijk, is set for another round of medical scrutiny next week, according to manager Daniel Farke.
The 24-year-old Dutch center-back has been sidelined since Leeds’ disappointing Boxing Day loss to Preston North End due to an adductor injury. Now, Farke has revealed that Struijk will undergo another scan early next week to reassess the extent of his injury.
Addressing reporters ahead of Saturday’s clash with Plymouth Argyle, Farke stated, “Pascal will have a re-scan at the beginning of next week. We will have a clearer view.”
Leeds has coped admirably in Struijk’s absence, maintaining an impressive second-place position in the Championship. However, the looming uncertainty surrounding Struijk’s injury status adds a layer of concern as the club navigates a crucial period in their promotion pursuit.
