Leeds United’s defender Junior Firpo is experiencing a standout period at the club under the management of Daniel Farke.

His £13m move initially seemed disastrous as he battled a string of injuries, exacerbating Leeds’ longstanding left-back issues.
Yet, as Leeds secured victory in eight consecutive Championship games, Firpo emerged as a consistent starter, showcasing not only his fitness but also his significant contributions to the team’s recent success, propelling them to second place in the table.
In an interview with the Yorkshire Evening Post, Firpo opened up about the mental toll of his injury-ridden spells, describing them as the “worst thing” for any player.
He highlighted the psychological challenges of being sidelined, unable to contribute to the team and expressing gratitude for the support of teammates, family, and friends during those difficult times.
