Outwood Academy Hemsworth Students Go Pro with Leeds United Foundation: Stuart Dallas Makes Surprise Appearance!

In an exciting four-week initiative, students at Outwood Academy Hemsworth got a taste of elite training alongside the Leeds United Foundation, culminating in an unexpected visit from none other than Leeds United player Stuart Dallas.

Under the guidance of Leeds United’s club doctor, Rishi Dhand, students delved into a comprehensive physical activity program. From refining their diets pre- and post-exercise to crafting personalized training plans, the students were immersed in both theoretical and practical aspects of fitness.

The sessions featured expert insights from specialists like Elise McVicar, Head of Nutrition at Leeds United, who enlightened students on post-activity nutrition and the impact of screen time on sleep and growth. Katie Taylor from the Leeds United Foundation led engaging football activities, while Stuart Dallas himself presented students with certificates and personally donated prizes alongside teammate Glen Kamara.

Rishi Dhand expressed his pleasure in delivering the program, commending the students’ enthusiasm and thanking Mr. Wormald for his organization and support. Andy Wormald, Attendance & Behaviour Officer at Outwood Academy Hemsworth, lauded the collaboration with Leeds United Foundation, highlighting the invaluable knowledge shared by Rishi and other contributors.

For student Cayden, the experience was transformative, learning vital lessons in health and fitness that have enhanced his gym performance. Meeting Stuart Dallas was the cherry on top, leaving him speechless and inspired to continue his fitness journey.
