Soucek has voiced his admiration for Moyes, highlighting the manager’s success in securing a sixth-place finish in the league and triumph in the Europa Conference League. As the team prepares for their upcoming match against Freiburg, Soucek remarked, “Looking at the achievements, securing sixth and seventh places in the league, and now competing in Europe for the third consecutive time, it’s an amazing feat. I’m proud to contribute to this historical moment for the club. Moyes has been instrumental over the last few years, including this season.”
The midfielder also came to the defense of Kalvin Phillips, who has faced challenges since his loan move from Manchester City to West Ham. Phillips has been under scrutiny for his performance in initial matches, including receiving a red card and being substituted at half-time in a recent game. Soucek expressed his support, noting, “Observing him in training, I can see he’s in form, but transitioning after a long period with less playtime is tough. Despite the hurdles, he has our full support. He’s diligent, fits well with our style, and is a vital asset to our team.”
