NOT NEEDED: Player set to make dramatic return to Leeds this summer—Club has shocking plan for his future beyond this season!

After securing Diego Llorente on loan from Leeds United, AS Roma showed interest in another player from Elland Road last summer, namely Rasmus Kristensen. Evidently unenthused by Championship football, Kristensen made the smooth shift to Serie A for the season.

His journey away from Leeds has been a blend of highs and lows, contrasting with Llorente’s situation. Unlike the Spaniard, there is no purchase option in Kristensen’s deal, according to reports by Corriere dello Sport.

The crux of the matter lies in the fact that for AS Roma to make Kristensen’s move permanent, they would need to reopen negotiations with Leeds United. However, this appears unlikely to materialize.

The Danish player is set to return to Leeds at the season’s end, with indications pointing towards AS Roma showing little inclination to retain him.

This situation diverges from Llorente’s, who boasts a €5 million buyout clause in his agreement, offering a straightforward and compelling deal.

Consequently, Leeds will need to address Kristensen’s future in the upcoming transfer window, potentially reintegrating him into the squad should they ascend to the Premier League or facilitating his transfer to another club.
