However, another one of Steidten’s signings, defender Konstantinos Mavropanos, has struggled to make a significant impact at the London Stadium.

Mavropanos, who previously impressed in the Bundesliga with Stuttgart, has faced criticism for his performances at West Ham, with noticeable errors and a lack of confidence hampering his progress. Despite being linked with a move to Inter Milan, Mavropanos has failed to live up to expectations, unlike his counterpart Yann Bisseck who was signed by Inter for a significantly lower fee.

Former Nerazzuri legend Beppe Bergomi expressed doubts about Mavropanos, highlighting the importance of confidence in a young player like Bisseck. Mavropanos’s struggles in England, evident in crucial mistakes on the field, suggest a potential decline in form and loss of swagger under manager David Moyes.

While Mavropanos experienced a recent setback with a disallowed goal against Aston Villa, there are signs of improvement in his performance indicating a positive development.
