“SHOCKING CLAIM: Leeds faces MAJOR loss – Star duo could ABANDON if promotion isn’t secured!”

March 24, 2024

Leeds United is currently leading the Championship table with just eight games left in the season and has set its sights on earning promotion back to the Premier League in order to retain its exceptionally talented players.

However, should Leeds fail to secure promotion to the top flight of English football, there is a looming possibility that the club’s skilled wide forwards, Crysencio Summerville and Willy Gnonto, might consider departing.

Transfer specialist Dean Jones, in conversation with GiveMeSport, suggested that a number of players could be eyeing a move away if promotion is not achieved, with Gnonto, Summerville, and Rutter among those at risk.

Jones stated:

“If Leeds do not secure promotion, we could see interest from several clubs in these players. While it’s not a certainty that they would depart, the stakes are high for Leeds, and a failure to move up could result in some key departures. Gnonto and Summerville are likely exits, and Rutter is another player who could attract attention.”

Losing either Summerville or Gnonto would be a significant setback for Leeds United

The potential departure of these players would undoubtedly be a blow to Leeds United, given their impressive contributions throughout this season under the guidance of Daniel Farke.

Summerville, in particular, has been a standout performer for the team in the ongoing campaign. The talented Dutch right-winger has impressively scored 15 goals and provided 8 assists in 35 Championship appearances.

Similarly, Gnonto has been equally influential despite fewer starts, registering 7 goals and 2 assists as a 20-year-old left-winger.

Daniel Farke will be eager for both players to finish the season on a high note and achieve the primary objective of securing promotion to the Premier League.

The potential prospect of watching Gnonto and Summerville go up against top-flight defenders in the Premier League would be an exciting prospect should Leeds make the leap to the higher division.
