Rangers boss drops bombshell: No Care About Celtic’s Respect! Focus on Old Firm Derby Domination Now!

April 5, 2024

Rangers manager Philippe Clement underlines the necessity of maintaining performance consistency over earning Celtic’s respect this season. Despite trailing just a point behind Celtic in the league standings with a game in hand, Clement remains dedicated to the upcoming Old Firm derby.

Under Clement’s leadership, Rangers have closed the gap to seven points in the title race and have the chance to surpass Celtic with a victory at Ibrox. Despite acknowledging the competitive title race they are part of, Clement downplays the importance of earning Celtic’s respect.

Emphasizing his team’s impressive form and improved consistency since their last encounter with Celtic, Clement emphasizes the significance of self-respect and achieving exceptional results, such as securing 30 points out of 33 in 2024.

When asked about whether Rangers have earned Celtic’s respect, Clement stated, “I am not concerned about that aspect. Our main goal is to establish a cohesive team with a consistent performance standard. Winning trophies relies on maintaining this level of performance, and I see positive progression in the team we are assembling.”

In their attempt to break Celtic’s dominance in Scottish football, Rangers have already secured the Scottish League Cup and are aiming for further success in the upcoming season.
