Celtic legend Smells Rangers Terror in Epic Premiership battle- Drops Shocking Title Forecast

May 1, 2024

Paul Lambert believes that Rangers showed a noticeable “fear factor” in recent matches as they missed the opportunity to claim the top spot in the Premiership.

Philippe Clement’s team was considered the front-runners for the title as they had a game in hand over Celtic. However, a loss to Ross County followed by a goalless draw with Dundee shifted the momentum back in favor of the reigning champions. Brendan Rodgers’ side now sits three points ahead, having played the same number of games.

The upcoming crucial Old Firm clash at Parkhead on May 11 will be decisive. Rangers must secure a victory in that match and hope for slip-ups by Celtic elsewhere, unless they can make up a significant goal difference to take control of their destiny again.

Despite the challenges, Lambert remains optimistic that Rangers will rise to the occasion. He observed that the pressure of catching up affected Rangers in their recent games, while Celtic efficiently collected points and maintained composure.

Lambert expressed his views on the situation, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming showdown at Parkhead: “The one at Parkhead is going to be pivotal to what’s going to happen. Whoever emerges victorious in that match will likely win the title. Celtic are the favorites and have the advantage. Rangers faced a fear factor in their recent games, but Celtic has regained momentum. Getting a positive result at Parkhead will be a significant challenge for Rangers.”

Lambert also noted the uncertainty surrounding the Scottish Cup Final due to the equally balanced chances of both teams. However, he believes that, at present, Celtic holds the edge in the race for the title.
