Rangers boss Philippe Clement has received a strong recommendation from Gordon Dalziel to reassess Sam Lammers after his remarkable loan spell with Utrecht. Despite only managing two goals in 31 games for the Gers, the 27-year-old has thrived in the Eredivisie, scoring nine goals in 15 matches and setting a record by scoring in seven consecutive games.

Although Lammers’ loan did not include an option for a permanent transfer, Dalziel believes the Dutch forward will attract interest from several clubs and that he deserves another opportunity at Ibrox.

During an appearance on Clyde 1 Superscoreboard on May 30th, Dalziel expressed his belief that Lammers was not given a fair chance at Rangers and suggested that he should be played in his preferred position as a center-forward to showcase his abilities.

Dalziel emphasized the importance of loan spells for gaining playing time, building confidence, and attracting potential suitors. He recommended giving Lammers another chance but with a clear understanding of his role to fully evaluate his capabilities.
