Extension of a Striker’s Contract
During Sunderland’s striker search earlier in the year, Blackburn’s Sam Gallagher emerged as a potential target. Ipswich also showed interest in the 28-year-old forward, who experienced a significant setback in the 2023/24 season due to injury.
Blackburn has now exercised one-year options on the contracts of Gallagher and Tyrhys Dolan. The club is also in talks with Kyle McFadzean and John Fleck, both of whom penned short-term deals at Ewood Park until the end of the season in January.
