This move followed a similar incident involving Fabio Silva.

In waves, Rangers faithful lambasted Cantwell, claiming the Englishman failed to meet Ibrox’s “standards” by allegedly reveling in a draw amidst a tumultuous season that saw Rangers plummet from title contention to an eight-point gap behind Celtic. After reposting the image minus the controversial caption, Cantwell disabled comments on his Instagram in response to the flood of disapproving remarks from fans demanding higher standards.
