Chris Sutton couldn’t resist adding insult to injury for Todd Cantwell following Rangers’ Scottish Cup defeat, with the former Celtic star once again taking a dig at the midfielder.

Throughout the season, Sutton and Cantwell have engaged in various disputes, often with Sutton taunting Cantwell after his team’s losses. After Celtic secured the Double with a victory over their rivals at Hampden, thanks to a late goal from Adam Idah, Sutton resurfaced on social media to continue the banter.

Not long ago, Cantwell had faced backlash for deleting a social media post where he was shushing fans, captioned “shushburger please,” which had not gone down well with the Ibrox supporters. Sutton couldn’t miss this opportunity to revive the moment after Celtic’s triumph. He took to social media, remarking, “Well played Celtic and Adam Idah. I may celebrate with a ‘Shushburger’ this evening,” along with a four-leaf clover emoji.

Sutton and Cantwell have clashed throughout the season on various issues, with exchanges ranging from playful jabs to sharp criticisms. In October, Cantwell had referred to Sutton as an “attention seeker” during a feud that began with Sutton nicknaming Cantwell “Tik Tok Todd.”
