BREAKING: Celtic Rival Release OUTRAGEOUS Asking price for Todd Cantwell Amid Transfer Speculation

June 4, 2024

Derek Clark has advised Rangers not to settle for anything less than £3 million when negotiating the sale of Todd Cantwell in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Having endured a mixed season at Ibrox under Philippe Clement, Cantwell managed to score eight goals and provide six assists in 44 appearances. Speculation is rife that it might be time for him to depart from Glasgow. Despite talks of his potential dispensability, Rangers Review journalist Derek Clark is firm in his belief that Rangers should not part ways with Cantwell for a bargain deal as soon as the transfer window opens.

In a recent discussion on The Rangers Review YouTube channel on 4 June, Clark expressed his stance, stating, “How much do you think he’s worth? I’d be looking for upwards of £3 million. He’s still a top player, and I don’t think Rangers should be entertaining offers below his value.”

With Philippe Clement keen on revamping his Rangers squad this summer, it appears that almost no player is exempt from being potentially offloaded before the start of the next season. Alongside names like Jack Butland, Ridvan Yilmaz, and James Tavernier, Cantwell stands out as one of the few assets that could fetch a decent sum for reinvestment in new recruits.

However, Cantwell’s departure would leave a void in the team, given his regular starting role under Clement when fit. Although his output may have fallen below expectations, he remains one of the primary creative forces in the current Rangers setup. Should the decision be made to sell Cantwell this summer, attracting a buyer at the desired £3 million price tag could be a challenge. Yet, if Cantwell rediscovers his top form in the upcoming season, his value could soar significantly within a year.
