Derby County’s transfer prospect Josh Murphy cited the irresistible pull of reuniting with former teammate John Mousinho as he sealed a move to Portsmouth.

Despite interest from the Rams and several Championship clubs, the winger opted to leave Oxford and join Pompey on a free transfer. Murphy’s commitment to a three-year deal with an additional 12-month option at Fratton Park put an end to weeks of speculation surrounding his future.
