Sheffield Wednesday have unveiled another new player, with Olaf Kobacki becoming their sixth addition this summer.

Earlier in the week, The Star indicated that the 22-year-old Polish youth international was on the brink of joining the Owls, and his signing has now been officially confirmed.

An official club statement read, in part, “We are delighted to announce the acquisition of Olaf Kobacki for an undisclosed fee from Arka Gdynia. The 22-year-old, who began his career in Lech Poznan’s academy and moved to Serie A’s Atalanta in 2017, now joins Danny Röhl’s squad as our sixth summer signing. Welcome to Hillsborough, Olaf!” The player’s agency also disclosed that he has signed a four-year contract at S6, marking his debut in English football. His previous club, Arka Gdynia, promptly expressed their gratitude for his contributions during his tenure.

Kobacki arrives from the Polish side boasting a tally of 23 goals and assists across all competitions in the 2023/24 season. Sheffield Wednesday fans are eagerly anticipating his first performance, possibly this weekend when the team faces Alfreton Town in their initial preseason match.
