Despite signing a three-year deal with an option for a further 12 months, Boro are eyeing a move to secure Giles’ services once again. The 24-year-old was popular during his loan spell at Middlesbrough in the 2022/23 season, and Boro sees him as a valuable addition to boost their promotion aspirations.

However, Hull City has depth in Giles’ position, with players like Matty Jacob, James Furlong, Brandon Fleming, and Jake Leake in the ranks. While it may be surprising to see Hull City consider selling Giles so soon after acquiring him permanently, the club has already parted ways with Ozan Tufan in this transfer window, with uncertainties over the futures of Jaden Philogene and Jacob Greaves.
