July 22, 2024

West Brom and Luton Town have both shown interest in Crystal Palace’s young talent David Ozoh this summer, according to a report by AllNigerianSoccer. Despite their interest, Derby County is set to secure the 19-year-old midfielder following their promotion from League One.

Ozoh, who is highly regarded by Crystal Palace, will be loaned out for the upcoming season to gain regular playing time. Born in Valencia, Spain, he represents England at the international youth level. AllNigerianSoccer reports that West Brom had considered a move for Ozoh as they seek to strengthen their squad, but Derby County is now poised to complete the signing, with a medical scheduled for Monday, July 22.

Both West Brom and Luton Town, who were relegated from the Premier League last season and are aiming for a quick return under Rob Edwards, saw Ozoh as a valuable addition to their midfield depth. Ozoh has been with Crystal Palace throughout his career, progressing through their academy and regularly featuring at various youth levels. He has made 13 first-team appearances for the Eagles, including nine in the Premier League last season.

With Ozoh heading to Pride Park, West Brom and Luton Town will need to identify other midfield targets before the transfer window closes. For Derby County, Ozoh’s arrival will add a new dimension to their squad as they continue to bolster their team for the upcoming season.
