Hull City Set to Make Earth-Shattering Move by Snagging Former Luton Town and Birmingham City Defender from Leeds United

July 23, 2024

Hull City is set to sign defender Cody Drameh following the expiration of his Leeds United contract, according to reports.

The 22-year-old is currently a free agent despite being offered a new contract by Leeds at the end of the 2023/24 season. However, Drameh struggled to secure a regular spot in the Leeds lineup.

Hull Live’s Baz Cooper reports that the Tigers are close to finalizing his signing, with Drameh expected to arrive at the club today (July 23). He would be Hull City’s second senior signing of the summer, following Ryan Giles’ permanent transfer from Luton Town.

Drameh joined Leeds from Fulham in 2020 and was considered one of their most promising young talents, excelling at the under-23 level and earning youth caps for England. Despite successful loan spells at Cardiff City and Luton Town, where he achieved promotion to the Premier League with the latter, he could not secure a regular place at Leeds.

Last season, Drameh was loaned to Birmingham City, but he was unable to help the Blues avoid relegation from the Championship during a challenging campaign.
