Paul Warne Unveils Tyrese Fornah’s Glorious Hope During Shocking Derby County Injury Update

Paul Warne is eager to see Tyrese Fornah back in action sooner rather than later as the midfielder continues his fight for full fitness. Dealing with a troublesome knee injury, Fornah has rejoined training after a period on the sidelines.

Both Fornah and Conor Washington featured for Derby’s under-21s leading up to the recent 4-3 loss to Barnsley, marking steps towards their first-team comeback. Fornah, particularly, is eyeing a significant season to make his mark after a subdued performance in the last campaign when Rotherham secured promotion to the Championship from League One. Since his arrival from Nottingham Forest last summer, Fornah has managed just 23 appearances for the club.

Warne provided an update on Fornah’s progress, stating, “He’s been dealing with injuries, but he trained with the squad earlier this week and also had a session with the under-21s to prepare for the Barnsley game alongside Conor Washington. It’s essential for us to see him back in action as soon as possible.”

The availability of Fornah and Washington for the upcoming match against Real Valladolid is uncertain, while Curtis Nelson seems set to feature post his recovery from illness. On a different note, Joe Ward, who missed the Barnsley clash due to a minor knee concern, may take part in the final pre-season friendly against Valladolid.
