Lewis Travis Firmly States Transfer Decision as Stoke City Emerges as Contender for Blackburn Rovers Star Midfielder

Blackburn manager John Eustace has refuted transfer rumors circulating around key midfielder Lewis Travis, amidst speculation that Stoke City is eyeing him as a potential target. Former Stoke player Eustace expressed his desire for Travis to remain at the club, praising his leadership qualities and experience. Travis, who spent last season on loan at Ipswich Town, is believed to be valued at around £2.5m by both Blackburn and Stoke.

The 26-year-old Travis, who captained Blackburn last season, has been a prominent figure in the squad and has valuable experience in the Championship. Eustace emphasized the importance of Travis’s presence within the team and expressed his wish for him to stay and play a significant role in Blackburn’s future.

While there have been reports linking Travis with a move away, including interest from Sheffield United, no official bids have been reported so far. Despite past rumors of his desire to leave, it seems that Travis is now focused on the upcoming season with Blackburn Rovers. On the other hand, Lewis Baker, who has struggled to secure a regular spot at Stoke City, could be looking for an exit as he enters the final year of his contract.
