“DEFENDER SET TO ROCK THE PREMIER LEAGUE: Brighton on the Brink of History-Making Signing as Club Poised to Shatter Records with Decision Tomorrow”

August 14, 2024

As per reports in Turkish media, Fenerbahce’s defender Ferdi Kadıoğlu has reportedly come to terms with Brighton & Hove Albion. Brighton, a Premier League team, has expressed interest in the 27-year-old player, particularly impressed by his performances representing Turkey in the recent Euro Championship.

Sources from Sabah indicate that Kadıoğlu could be on the brink of a transfer to Brighton, as they have tabled a significant €35 million proposal. Despite being sidelined due to injury during a recent Champions League qualifier against Lille, rumors suggest that his absence was due to an impending move to the English side.

Fenerbahce is expected to make a decision tomorrow regarding Brighton’s offer, but it is speculated that it will be challenging for them to turn down the opportunity. If the transfer goes through at €35 million, it would set a new record for the highest fee paid for a player from the Super Lig, surpassing the current mark of €30 million.

Although Manchester United and Arsenal have surfaced as potential suitors for Kadıoğlu this summer, it appears that Brighton is currently leading the race for his signature. Having made 41 appearances for Fenerbahce last season and netting three goals, Kadıoğlu remains under contract with the Yellow Canaries until June 2026.
