Luton Town has reportedly entered the race to secure the services of Nathan Ngoy from Standard Liège this summer, as per a report originating from Belgium.

Having joined Standard Liège’s academy in 2019, Ngoy swiftly progressed to the senior squad a year later, accumulating 38 appearances to date, with 17 of them from the previous season.

Journalist Sacha Tavolieri used the platform X, previously known as Twitter, to announce Luton Town’s interest in acquiring the versatile defender, who can also function effectively as a right-back.

With less than two years remaining on his contract, Standard Liège is open to parting ways with Ngoy in the ongoing transfer window. Tavolieri reveals that negotiations between Luton Town and Standard Liège are at an ‘advanced’ stage, indicating a potential agreement.

Should the deal materialize, Ngoy is believed to have concurred on contractual terms, which would bind him to Luton Town for the long haul. Luton Town’s manager, Rob Edwards, must now work out the final details with Standard Liège to finalize the transfer, an outcome expected given the mutual interest in completing the move.
