Explosive Transfer Alert: QPR Shocks Football World by Outbidding Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City for Premier League Signing – Deal Sealed

August 30, 2024

Newcastle United’s promising defender, Harrison Ashby, is ready to make a return to the Championship with a season-long loan move. Queens Park Rangers (QPR) have reportedly secured the signing of the talented full-back on Deadline Day, triumphing over competing Championship teams like Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.

While Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City were also eager to bring in the former West Ham player on loan, reports suggest that Newcastle United favors Marti Cifuentes’ project at Loftus Road as the optimal setting for Ashby’s development. The deal between QPR and Newcastle United is believed to be finalized, with Football Insider indicating that Ashby is on the verge of joining QPR for the upcoming season.

Ashby joined Newcastle United in January 2023 after a £3 million transfer from West Ham, although he is yet to make an appearance for the Magpies’ senior team. Known for his versatility in defense and ability to shift up the wing, Ashby spent the previous season on loan at Swansea City, where injury setbacks limited his playing time. Despite this, Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has expressed confidence in Ashby’s potential, emphasizing the club’s long-term investment in the young player.
