Derby County’s promising talent, Ben Radcliffe, shone brightly for Gateshead with a stunning display, notching his maiden goal for the team in a remarkable 2-0 triumph over Boston United last night.

In a thrilling National League encounter, the center-back delivered a superb strike, contributing significantly to Rob Elliot’s squad narrowing the gap to the table-toppers, Barnet, by just three points.

Radcliffe’s exceptional performance earned him the prestigious man of the match accolade and a spot in the National League’s weekly best XI, joining forces with former Derby Academy star Owen Oseni, who also found the net.

Derby holds lofty expectations for Radcliffe, currently on loan until January, aiming to mirror the success of Dajaune Brown, a Derby striker who impressed with 10 goals in 20 games for Gateshead last season.
