Derby County’s Callum Elder faces a spell on the sidelines after sustaining a groin injury, as confirmed by head coach Paul Warne. The Australian left-back was forced to leave the pitch during the recent 1-0 loss to Sheffield United, prompting concerns about the extent of his injury. Fortunately, subsequent scans revealed that the damage is less severe than initially anticipated.

Warne provided the update ahead of the forthcoming match against Norwich, clarifying that Elder would not be available for selection. Despite jokingly dismissing comparisons to the English Rugby Union coach, Warne acknowledged the absence of Elder due to his groin tweak and emphasized that he would be sidelined for the foreseeable fixtures.
