In remarks published on the club’s official website, the Spaniard praised Sheffield Wednesday, stating, “I believe that Sheffield Wednesday has started this season on par with their previous competitiveness and mentality, though their results may suggest otherwise. The outcomes do not always accurately reflect the on-field proceedings. For instance, in their recent match against Premier League contenders Luton, Wednesday was leading 1-0 on the road before a late red card led to a turnaround, resulting in a 1-2 defeat for them.”
