Forget Nelson! The Unstoppable GOAL MACHINE from Derby County Dominates with a Jaw-Dropping 11 Duel Wins, Stealing the Limelight Against QPR

An overlooked standout from Derby County emerged after an impressive showing against QPR.

The Rams have had a superb start to the season, showcased by stellar performances over the weekend. Curtis Nelson stole the spotlight with a well-executed goal and solid defensive skills. Meanwhile, Marcus Harness secured his first goal for Derby County, presenting a tough decision for Paul Warne on whether to start the winger in the future matches given the team’s wide width options.

While plenty of attention was drawn to stars like Nelson and Harness, there was another unsung hero at Derby County who showcased his talents at Pride Park. Midfielder Ebou Adams put on a terrific display against Queens Park Rangers, reaffirming the strength of the Rams’ midfield.

With the likes of Goudmijn, Osborn, and the injured Ozoh in the midfield mix, Derby County boasts impressive options. However, Adams stood out over the weekend with his solid performance, showcasing his defensive prowess with 11 duels won, two clearances, and eight tackles, in addition to an 83% passing accuracy.

Derby County made astute recruitment moves in the summer transfer window, particularly in midfield. Goudmijn has been a revelation, providing creativity and reliability in the center of the park. While Osborn and Ozoh have also made significant contributions, Adams has been a standout performer in the 2024/25 Championship season.

Adams may not be the flashiest or most creative player in the squad, but his defensive reliability and consistency make him a crucial asset for Warne’s side. He has proven to be a force to reckon with and a key component of Derby County’s midfield lineup.
