A former Sunderland player is expected to make an appearance for Hull City during their upcoming clash this weekend as the Black Cats travel to the Humber.

Sunderland is gearing up for an away game where Regis Le Bris is eager to see an upturn in their performances on the road. The team has been dominant at home, securing 13 out of 15 possible points this season, but their away form tells a different story with only six points from 12, having suffered defeats in their last two away matches in the Championship.

Le Bris will lead his team to face Hull City, currently positioned 13th in the Championship table. Hull has been in good form, winning three of their last four matches, contrasting with Sunderland who hold the top spot.

Eyes will be on Aaron Connolly, a former Hull player who recently joined Sunderland, as he is anticipated to make his debut against his old club. Meanwhile, another player to watch is Mason Burstow, who was released by Chelsea and signed with Hull City but is yet to find the net in the Championship this season after featuring five times.

Burstow, who had a forgettable loan spell at Sunderland last season with just one goal in 20 appearances, is hoping for a change in fortunes. It remains to be seen if he will play against his former team this weekend, with Chris Bedia being the key striker for Hull alongside the likes of Liam Millar, who was a summer target for Sunderland but has made significant contributions for the Tigers this season.
