Derby County rocked by MASSIVE blow as FOUR key players ruled out in crucial showdown against Hull City

Derby County is aiming to extend their unbeaten run to four games in the Championship as they prepare to face off against Hull City at Pride Park this upcoming weekend.

Fresh off a 1-1 draw with Oxford United earlier this week, the Rams are eager to showcase their strength on home turf, where they have been dominant this season, securing four wins in five games. In their recent match at Pride Park, Derby triumphed over QPR with a 2-0 victory, showing solid defense, conceding only to Norwich at home this season.

However, their upcoming match against a resilient Hull City side under the guidance of head coach Paul Warne promises to be a challenging one. Warne remains confident that his team can push for a top-six finish by the end of the season.

Despite their good form, Derby faces injury setbacks, as highlighted by the latest updates from the treatment table at Pride Park:

David Ozoh, the on-loan Crystal Palace midfielder who was set to return from a hamstring injury, has encountered another setback with a quad muscle issue. This new injury will keep him sidelined until the international break, dealing a blow to both him and the club.

Meanwhile, defender Ryan Nyambe is looking at a lengthy spell on the sidelines after injuring his posterior ligament in the match against Millwall. Although surgery is not required, Nyambe will be out of action for a significant period, leaving a void in the team’s defensive lineup.

Despite these challenges, the team remains positive and aims to continue their strong performance in the Championship as they march on in the season.

Tawanda Chirewa, the Wolves midfielder on loan, will be out of action this weekend due to an unexpected quad injury, keeping him on the sidelines for four to six weeks.

Jake Rooney, the defender, recently played for the under-21s in a Premier League cup match against Brentford to gain match fitness. Despite completing a full 90 minutes, he won’t be rushed back into action as the club is cautiously managing his fitness.
