Preston North End Receives EARTH-SHATTERING Injury Boost for Derby County Showdown as Reigning Top Scorer Surfaces in Training Session

The top striker for the Lilywhites having scored 13 goals before the close of the previous season is almost ready to return to the pitch. Keane has been out of the playing eleven since the start of the season through a thigh problem and has missed nine PNE matches. The latest posts of the player and progress reported about his recovery were inspiring, but a recent picture that appeared in the social network finally proves his imminent comeback at 31.

On Monday the club posted a picture of Keane on X (the former Twitter) to announce the possible chances of him for a game against Derby in the coming Saturday. It may sound quite ignorant, but fans clamor for details on whether the former Ipswich and Hull player will be fit to take a game. Currently, at the 20th position in the Championship, Preston may find the boost from Keane participation in the decisive match at Deepdale.

Even though this campaign leading North End to a 10-place finish, Keane managed 13 goals, this season the players has been used sparingly only making 4 league scores out of which he has only one due to injury. Given that Greenwood and Riis are leading the scoring for Preston, having Keane back in the mix and Osmajic back from suspension gives Heckingbottom more attacking options to try to turn around the team after a six- game run without a victory and a loss to Portsmouth.
