Carlos Corberan stood up for his tactics after a 1-1 draw between West Brom and Preston in the Sky Bet Championship. Although Karlan Grant had put the Baggies in front only for Emil Riis to equaliser, the Albion’s tenth draw of the season did not go down well with all fans more so the replacements of Tom Fellows and Josh Maja.

Corberan supported his decisions, saying, “I think it is the right decision… I understand the fans but I make decisions that I feel are correct.” Coming up against a more tightly organized Preston, Corberan admitted that the transition was a problem towards the second half.

However, appreciating Grant, Corberan said, “He has been one of the decisive players that is enabling us to play.” From the Preston side, manager Paul Heckingbottom also spoke of Riis, stating that his side had problems with bringing draws into wins and noted in important moments, they fail to convert draws into wins.
